A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
CONCERNING THE NORTH SHORE OPEN SPACE S.O.C.
PROJECT.
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach ( "City" ) entered into an
agreement on September 20 , 1983 , whereby the City and the Board
of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund, State of
Florida ( BTIITF) on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources
would acquire certain lots within the North Shore Open Space SOC
project area ; and
WHEREAS , the BTIITF cancelled the September 20 , 1983
agreement and all other Cabinet approved agreements relating to
it on December 2 , 1986 , based on assurances set forth in the
Memorandum of Agreement from the City of Miami Beach and
authorized the Department to continue negotiating for acquisition
of property within the North Shore Open Space SOC project , and
WHEREAS , the City Manager recommends the execution of the
Memorandum of Agreement and the City Attorney has approved it as
to form.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are authorized to execute the Memorandum of Agreement
between the City of Miami Beach and the Florida Department of
Natural Resources concerning the North Shore Open Space SOC
Project .
