A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND
ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND AND NEW
CHARGE CODE FOR THE BASS MUSEUM EXPANSION
PROJECT; APPROPRIATING $252,000 TO THE NEW
ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Cultural
Affairs has award the City a project grant for the current fiscal
year ; and
WHEREAS, the City has received the payment of $252 , 000 for
the purpose of designing an expanded Bass Museum of Arts facility;
and
WHERAS, it is necessary to establish a special revenue
fund and charge code to account for the revenues and expenditures
associated with this project .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
hereby duly authorizes the City Administration to establish and
create a new special revenue fund and charge code for the purpose
of accounting for all revenues and expenditures associated with
the Bass Museum of Arts expansion project, appropriating $252, 000
into the new fund as received by the State of Florida .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of October , 1987 .

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND AND NEW CHARGE CODE FOR THE BASS MUSEUM
EXPANSION PROJECT; APPROPRIATING $252,000 TO THE NEW
ACCOUNT.
The City has recently been awarded a $252,000 grant from the State
of Florida Department of Cultural Affairs. The purpose of these
monies is to provide for the second phase of the architectural and
design studies on the proposed expansion of the Bass Museum of
Arts. The funding is one of several anticipated grants related to
this project.
In order to accurately account for the total cost of the various
phases of this project, the administration is recommending that a
separate special revenue fund be created and established. Each
phase of this project will be assigned an independent charge code,
with appropriations made accordingly.
Since we have already received the draft of $252,000 from the
State, the attached resolution authorizes the administration to
open a new special revenue fund, charge code as well as
appropriate the award.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution which authorizes the establishment of a new
special revenue fund, charge code, and appropriate $252,000 into
