A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH ENDORSING THE PROPOSAL FROM PAST
AMERICA INC, A NON-PROFIT TELEVISION PRODUCTION
COMPANY, FOR THEIR PRODUCTION OF A 60-MINUTE
DOCUMENTARY ON THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH'S ART DECO
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach endorses the proposal for the production by Past
America Inc of a 60-minute documentary on the City of Miami Beach's Art Deco
District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Past America Inc have agreed that Past
America Inc is desirous of producing this documentary at no cost to the City of Miami
Beach for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and international broadcast.
WHEREAS, the Miami Design Preservation League, the Miami Beach Development
Corporation, the South Florida Art Center, and Channel 17 (WLRN-TV) have indicated
to the City of Miami Beach that they also endorse the production of this documentary.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor is authorized to endorse the
proposal for the production of a 60-minute documentary on the City of Miami Beach's
Art Deco District by Past America Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution was Passed and Adopted on this
18th day of November , 1987.
