A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION
OF $170,014 FROM THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE AND COURT
FACILITY BOND FUND NO. 354.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous of
providing art works for the New Police Headquarters Facility as
provided for in Miami Beach City Ordinance No. 84-2414 ; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that $11, 334 ,250 is the
construction cost of this project that would be subject to the
Art in Public Places Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it has been calculated that one and one-half
percent ( 1-1/2%) of $11, 334 ,250 is $170, 014 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of
Miami Beach Commission appropriates $170 ,014 from the Miami Beach
Police and Court Facility Bond Fund No. 354 .

SUBJECT: ART IN PUBLIC PLACES - MIAMI BEACH POLICE FACILITY
This appropriation shall fund the purchase of art works for the new Miami Beach Police
Facility as provided for in the City of Miami Beach Ordinance No. 84-2414.
It has been determined that $11,334,250 is the construction cost of this project that would
be subject to the Art in Public Places Ordinance. One and one-half percent (1Y2%) of this
figure is $170,014.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends the appropriation of $170,014 from the Police and Court
Facility Bond Fund No. 354 for the purpose of purchasing art works for the new Miami Beach
Police Facility.
