A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS SERIES, INC.
FOR THE USE OF THE JACKIE GLEASON THEATER OF THE
PERFORMING ARTS OF MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
AMENDING THE PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE AS FOLLOWS:
CHANGE "MUSIC MAN" FROM APRIL 2, 1988 TO APRIL 8 ,
1988 CHANGE "CARLOS MONTOYA" FROM APRIL 8, 1988
TO APRIL 15 , 1988 AND "BALLET GALA" , APRIL 2 & 3 ,
1988 , MAKING 6 BALLETS INSTEAD OF 4 .
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS SERIES, INC.
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit :
JACKIE GLEASON THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS OF THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER
on
CHANGE "MUSIC MAN" FROM APRIL 2 , 1988 TO APRIL 8 , 1988
CHANGE "CARLOS MONTOYA" FROM APRIL 8 , 1988 TO APRIL 15 , 1988
AND "BALLET GALA" , APRIL 2 & 3 , 1988 , MAKING 6 BALLETS INSTEAD
OF 4 .
for the event known as
TWO REHEARSALS, FOUR BALLETS, TWO CONCERTS, ONE SHOW
AND WHEREAS , an appropriate lease amendment has been
prepared by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and
approved as to form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS , the City Commission has been advised of and is
familiar with the terms and provisions of the said lease
amendment and deems it to be in the best interest of the City to
authorize the execution of the said lease amendment .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease amendment on behalf of the City , and that the
Miami Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of January ,1988 •
