RESOLUTION 88-19134 RESOLUTION NO. 88-19134 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE 5th AMENDMENT TO THE FY 1987/88 POLICE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET BY AN AMOUNT OF $244,000.00 TO BE FUNDED BY THE PROCEEDS OF CONFISCATED FUNDS. WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 932.704(3) (a) define the purposes and procedure to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditure of Police Confiscated fund; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has determined that such needs exist and is in compliance with Section 932.704 (3) (a); and WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Fund. Par •'nsl • Ik City Manager y /`� SUBJECT: POLICE CONFISCATION TRUST ACCOUNT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987/1988 The Administration requests an amendment to Resolution 87-18988 for the operating budget of the Police Confiscation Trust Account to appropriate an additional $244,000.00 to be used to fund two (2) School Resource Officers, and two (2) Crime Prevention Officers, and to purchase capital equipment for the aforementioned two programs; crime eye surveillance camera; night vision equipment; two (2) personal computers with accessories; and a four- wheel drive vehicle to be used by Marine Patrol.The additional appropriation will increase the Police Confiscation Budget to $757,783.00 for the fiscal year 1987/88. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the operating budget for the Police Confiscation Trust Account and appropriate funding.
