A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING THE
CITIZENS OF MIAMI BEACH AND ALL OF DADE
COUNTY TO SUPPORT THE MARCH 8 , 1988 BALLOT
QUESTION PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND
BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
THROUGHOUT DADE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, on March 8, 1988, a referendum will be held at
which

to approve the issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount
not to exceed $980, 000, 000. 00 for the purpose of funding
construction and building improvements for public schools
throughout Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the passage of this ballot question will result in
needed improvements of every public school building in the City
of Miami Beach including a new South Pointe Elementary School,
and will benefit all public schools throughout Dade County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
urges the citizens of Miami Beach and all of Dade County to
support the March 8, 1988 Ballot question providing for the
issuance of General Obligation Bonds for construction and
building improvements for public schools throughout Dade County .

1988 .
