A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
CONSENT TO ASSIGNMENT OF CONCESSION
AGREEMENT FROM ART DECO BEACH
CONCESSIONS, INC. TO INDIVIDUAL SERVICES
AND INVESTMENTS, INC. FOR THE OPERATION
OF A CONCESSION ON THE BEACH AT THE 18TH
STREET END.
WHEREAS , a Concession Agreement between Shelborne
Development Corporation and the City of Miami Beach was entered
on November 5, 1986 pursuant to City Commission Resolution No.
86-18666 which ends on November 30, 1991 ; and
WHEREAS, the above described Concession Agreement provides
for the exclusive privilege of operating on the beach at the 18th
Street end; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 86-18666, the above
described concession rights were assigned from Shelborne
Development Corporation to Art Deco Beach Concessions, Inc. , on
November 5, 1986 ; and
WHEREAS, Art Deco Beach Concessions, Inc. is desirous of
assigning its concession rights to the referenced area to
Individual Services and Investments, Inc. and Individual Services
and Investments, Inc. is desirous of assuming those concession
rights, and an assignment has been executed by the parties.
WHEREAS, Individual Services and Investments, Inc. has
executed a First Amendment to the Concession Agreement to provide
for termination by either party upon thirty (30) days notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a consent to assignment of
concession agreement from Art Deco Beach Concessions, Inc. to
Individual Services and Investments, Inc. for the operation of a
concession on the beach at the 18th Street end.
