RESOLUTION 88-19184 RESOLUTION NO. 88-19184 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA DECLARING THE WEEK OF APRIL 24TH, 1988, AS "GRAFFITI PAINT OUT" WEEK AND REQUESTING ALL DADE COUNTY COMMUNITIES TO CONCUR AND INSTITUTE APPROPRIATE PROGRAMS TO ELIMINATE GRAFFITI. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, recognizes that the community of Miami Beach is being defaced by graffiti which is costing the government and citizens of our community thousands of dollars and is downgrading the quality of life on Miami Beach and in all Dade County, and; WHEREAS, there exist laws that address these crimes and that the police agencies should be aggressively dealing with them, and; WHEREAS, the crime of graffiti has a negative economic and aesthetic impact on the community of Miami Beach and all Dade County, and; WHEREAS, The City Commission requests that all communities in Dade County join in and institute programs to eradicate graffiti.
