A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
ENTIRE DADE DELEGATION AND NATIONAL LEAGUE OF
CITIES TO TAKE UP THE HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN
OF ROBERT F. LOPEZ, A MIAMI BEACH SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL STUDENT FOR THE RELEASE OF CUBAN
PRISONERS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
heard Robert F. Lopez present his Human Rights Campaign; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to join the "Let My
People Go" ; project for the release of Cuban prisoners; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission would like the entire Dade
Delegation and National League of Cities to take up this issue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA requests the entire Dade Delegation
and National League of Cities to take up the Human Rights
Campaign of Robert F. Lopez, a Miami Beach Senior High School
Student for the release of Cuban prisoners.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of April , 1988 .
