A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONSENT TO
ASSIGNMENT OF A LEASE AGREEMENT FROM JEWISH
COMMUNITY CENTERS OF SOUTH FLORIDA, INC. TO
MIAMI BEACH JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER, INC. FOR
A PARCEL OF LAND AND FACILITIES AT 4221 PINE
TREE DRIVE, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA FOR USE AS A
RECREATIONAL COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Commission Resolution No. 81-
16678 , the City of Miami Beach entered into a Lease Agreement
with Jewish Community Centers of South Florida, Inc. for a parcel
of land and facilities at 4221 Pine Tree Drive, Miami Beach,
Florida for use as a recreational community center; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 84-17863 , the Lease
Agreement was amended to extend the term from one (1) to ten (10)
years; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 85-18280, the Lease
Agreement was further amended to extend the term from ten (10) to
thirty (30) years, with two (2) additional optional renewal terms
of ten (10) years each, and other matters; and
WHEREAS, Jewish Community Centers of South Florida, Inc. is
desirous of assigning its rights under the referenced Lease
Agreement to Miami Beach Jewish Community Center, Inc. and Miami
Beach Jewish Community Center, Inc. is desirous of assuming those
rights, and an assignment has been executed by the parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a consent to assignment of
the referenced lease agreement from Jewish Community Centers of
South Florida, Inc. to Miami Beach Jewish Community Center, Inc.
for the parcel of land and facilities at 4221 Pine Tree Drive,
Miami Beach, Florida.
