A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE 7th AMENDMENT TO THE FY
1987188 POLICE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET BY AN AMOUNT OF
$11,600.00 TO BE FUNDED BY THE PROCEEDS OF CONFISCATED FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 932.704(3) (a) define the
purposes and procedure to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditure
of Police Confiscated Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that such needs exist and is in compliance with Section
932.702 (3) (a); and
WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Fund.
NOW, THERFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission hereby amends the
FY 1987/88 Police Confiscation Fund Budget for the City of Miami Beach, to
be as follows: (and appropriates funding)

I, Ken Glassman, Chief of Police, City of Miami Beach, do hereby certify that the
aforementioned proposed request for expenditures from the City of Miami Beach
Police Confiscation Trust Fund, for the 1987/83 fiscal year for the purchase of
six(6) Tandy Model 102 (lap-top) computers with accessories, to be used for field
crime reports; and two (2) Honda ATV 1988 Fourtrax Foreman 4 x 4 with
speedometers, to be used by the Beach Patrol Unit, complies with the provisions
of Section 932.704(3) (a), Florida Statutes.

SUBJECT: POLICE CONFISCATION TRUST ACCOUNT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987/1988
The Administration requests an amendment to Resolution 87-18988 for the operating
budget of the Police Confiscation Trust Account to appropriate an additional $11,600.00 to
used for thepurchase of six (6) Tandy Model 102 (lap-top) computers with accessories,
be ATV 1988 Fourtrax Foreman 4 x
to be used for field crime reports; and two (2) Honda4
with speedometers, to be used by the Beach Patrol Unit. The additional appropriation will

increase the Police Confiscation Budget to $944,383.00 for the fiscal year 1987/88.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the operating budget for
the Police Confiscation Trust Account and appropriate funding.
