A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
DADE COUNTY COMMISSION TO TAKE IMMEDIATE
CORRECTIVE ACTION SO AS TO IMPROVE ALL
ELEMENTS OF TAXI SERVICE.
WHEREAS , taxi service is a highly visible initial
introduction to the community by visitors; and
WHEREAS, use of taxi service is a necessary and significant
form of transportation for both residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the failure to maintain the vehicles in a clean and
safe condition impacts negatively on the highly important tourist
and convention business; and
WHEREAS, the courteousness to visitors and residents as well
as the safe manner in which the vehicles are driven is a
necessary element to Dade County' s image.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City of Miami Beach
requests the Dade County Commission to take all necessary steps
to improve all aspects of taxi service which is vital to the
visitor and convention business of all of Dade County.
