A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE
PARCEL KNOWN AS SUNSET ISLAND NO. 2 PARCEL MARKED
RESERVE ON ISLAND NO. 2, PLAT BOOK 40 - PAGE 8, IN THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, WITH FUNDS
BEING APPROPRIATED IN THE AMOUNT OF $285,000 FROM
REALLOCATED BOND FUND NO. 351 TO PROVIDE FOR PUBLIC
PARK SPACE.
WHEREAS, the residents of Sunset Island No. 2 are desirous of maintaining the parcel
known as Sunset Island No. 2 Reserve as open space; and
WHEREAS, it has come to the City's attention that the owner of the parcel known as
Sunset Island No. 2 Reserve, wishes to sell the property; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of providing a public park area on Sunset Island No. 2;
and
WHEREAS, funding for the purchase is available from Reallocated Bond Fund No. 351.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach City Commission authorizes the
purchase of the parcel known as Sunset Island No. 2 Parcel marked Reserve on Island No. 2,
Plat Book 40 - Page 8, in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, to provide for public
park space, and the funds are hereby appropriated from Reallocated Bond Fund No. 351 in
the amount of $285,000.
