A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT
METROPOLITAN DA DE COUNTY PORT AUTHORITY
ASSUME MANAGEMENT OF ALL PORT ACTIVITIES
RELATED TO TERMINAL ISLAND; REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 88-19288 .
WHEREAS, the port located at Terminal Island located in the
City of Miami Beach would be more efficiently run and it would be
in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of Miami Beach if port operations were managed by
Metropolitan Dade County Port Authority; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission requests that the Metropolitan
Dade County Commission, assume responsibility for port operations
located at Terminal Island and put said operations under the
control of Metropolitan Dade County Port Authority.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
requests that Metropolitan Dade County Port Authority assume
management of the port operations of Terminal Island.
