A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A DESIGN SERVICES CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
MITJ1F.R & SOLOMON GENERAL CONTRACTORS,
INC. AND FRANKEL & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR
DESIGN OF A MULTI STORY PARKING COMPLEX
AT 13TH STREET AND COLLINS AVENUE.
WHEREAS, on or about October 26, 1987 the City issued
Request for Proposal #24-87/88 for the Turn-Key Design and
Construction of a Multi-Story parking Complex at 13th Street and
Collins Avenue; and
WHEREAS, on or about January 22 , 1988 Miller & Solomon
General Contractors, Inc filed the sole proposal in response to
Request for Proposal 24-87/88 ; and
WHEREAS, on or about March 2 , 1988 the City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach authorized negotiations with Miller &
Solomon General Contractors, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, Miller & Solomon General Contractors, Inc.
requested the City to separate the construction services from the
design services by entering into separate contracts for each type
of service, and further requested that Frankel & Associates, Inc.
become a party to such Design Services Contract; and
WHEREAS, the Design Services Contract attached hereto has
been negotiated between the parties recommended by the City
Manager and approved as to form by the City Attorney; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute a Design Services Contract
between the City of Miami Beach and Miller & Solomon General
Contractors, Inc. and Frankel & Associates, Inc. for design of a
multi story parking complex at 13th Street and Collins Avenue.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 27th day of July , 1988 .
