A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEDICATION OF A PORTION OF
LOTS 7 AND 8 , BLOCK 1 , OCEAN BEACH
SUBDIVISION, PLAT BOOK 2 PAGE 38 , PUBLIC
RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY , FLORIDA AND
REQUESTING TAX EXEMPTION ON SAME, DEDICATED
FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING THE ROAD
INTERSECTION AT BISCAYNE STREET AND OCEAN
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to widen the road
at the intersection of Biscayne Street and Ocean Drive; and
WHEREAS, South Pointe Development Company has agreed to
dedicate a portion of Lots 7 and 8, Block 1, Ocean Beach
Subdivision, for the widening of the road at the intersection of
Biscayne Street and Ocean Drive; and
WHEREAS, on July 2 , 1988, the City of Miami Beach, Florida
became the record owner of the following described property for
public use:
A portion of Lots 7 and 8 , Block 1, OCEAN
BEACH SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 2 at Page 38
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida
being more particularly descr ibed as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said
Lot 7 ; thence run N79° 12 ' 25"W, along the
Northerly line of said Lot 7, a distance of
15. 00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING: thence
continue N79° 12 ' 25"W, along said Northerly
line of said Lot 7 , for a distance of 4 . 00
feet to a point; then run S10°47 ' 35"W for a
distance of 84 . 56 feet to the Point of
Curvature of a circular curve to the right,
having for its elements a central angle of 76°
51 ' 22" and a radius of 25. 00 feet; thence run
Southwesterly along the arc of said curve for
a distance of 33 . 53 feet to a point of
intersection with the Southerly line of said
Lot 8 ; thence run N87° 38 ' 57"E, along said
Southerly line of said Lot 8, for a distance
of 23 . 94 feet to a point; thence run N10
47 ' 35"E, along a line 15. 00 feet Westerly of
and parallel with the Easterly line of said
Lots 7 and 8 , for a distance of 103 . 46 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, herewith formally accepts the dedication of land by
South Pointe Development Company and herewith formally requests
exemption from taxes as of date of acquisition of the property
herein set forth, pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 196. 28 .

BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that a certified copy of this Resolution be
transmitted to the Metropolitan Dade County Commission, its
County Manager, its Tax Assessor and its Tax Collector.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September , 1988 .
