A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH'S RECOGNITION AND ENDORSEMENT OF THE "WORLD'S
FAIR FOR MIAMI 1995-96" CONCEPT AS A UNIQUE AND LASTING
CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL EXPOSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires our community to be identified as the
location for a major Western Hemisphere exposition; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach and Greater Miami
community to be designated by the Bureau of International Exposition as a site for a
registered universal category World's Fair in 1995-96; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach endorsement will assist private sector interests in
seeking World's Fair designation.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach Commission hereby
recognizes and endorses the "World's Fair for Miami 1995-96" concept as a unique and
lasting cultural and educational exposition.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September 1988.
