A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN OPERATING BUDGET AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR POLICE CONFISCATION TRUST ACCOUNT
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988/89.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 932.704(3) (a) define the
purposes and procedure to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditure
of Police Confiscated Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that such needs exist and is in compliance with Section
932.704 (3) (a); and
WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Fund.
NOW, THERFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission hereby establishes a
FY 1988/89 Police Confiscation Fund Budget for the City of Miami Beach, to
be as follows: (and appropriates funding)

I, Ken Glassman, Chief of Police, City of Miami Beach, do hereby certify that the
aforementioned proposed request for expenditures from the City of Miami Beach
Police Confiscation Trust Fund, for the 1988/89 fiscal year to provide funds for
the salaries of the Police Legal Advisor and Secretary, School Resource Officers,
and Crime Prevention Officers (including fringe benefits); attendance at related
seminars and conferences; undercover vehicles; to provide for expenditures
necessary to maintain safe operation of confiscated vehicles, boats, and trailers;
the towing and storage of confiscated vehicles; costs to advertise forfeiture
proceedings; governmental charges for filing forfeiture proceedings; title
transfers; unanticipated operating expenses; office equipment; and the purchase
of new and replacement bullet protective vests (as required), complies with the
provisions of Section 932.704(3) (a), Florida Statutes.
