SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION •F THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE $375 , 000
TO THE BASS MUSEUM EXPANSION FUND FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROCESSING FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
RELATED TO A GRANT AWARDED THE BASS MUSEUM
OF ART BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA
The Bass Museum has been awarded a grant of $375, 000 from the
Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs .
The funds will be used for expenses related to the expansion
of the Museum.
ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
resolution authorizing the City Manager to appropriate
$375, 000 to the Bass Museum Expansion Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A MEANS TO PROCESS
FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS RELATED TO A GRANT
AWARDED THE BASS MUSEUM OF ART BY THE STATE
OF FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum of Art has been awarded a grant
of $375 , 000 from the Florida Department of State Division of
Cultural Affairs for expenses related to the expansion of the
Museum; and
WHEREAS, all expenditures must receive prior authorization
from the Office of Management and Budget to ensure compliance
with a proposed operating budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be
authorized and directed to appropriate $375, 000 to the Museum
Expansion Fund.
BE IT ALSO DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that all expenditures receive prior
authorization from the Office of Management and Budget and
be in accordance with the operating budget for the grant .
