A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A SERVICE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND UNITED
SANITATION SERVICES, A DIVISION OF WASTE
MANAGEMENT, INC. FOR PROVIDING STREET
SWEEPING, HAND SWEEPING, PARKING LOT SWEEPING
AND LITTER CAN COLLECTION AND REMOVAL SERVICES
CITYWIDE, IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
WHEREAS, the City Administration, through the Department of
Purchasing and Property Management solicited a Request for Proposal
(RFP 42-87/89) for Providing Street Sweeping, Hand Sweeping,
Parking Lot Sweeping and Litter Can Collection and Removal Services
Citywide for the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, a Proposal was received from United Sanitation
Services, a Divison of Waste Management, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Agreement has been negotiated, the
City Manager has recommended its execution and the City Attorney
has approved it as to form, as attached hereto:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the Service Agreement between the City
of Miami Beach and United Sanitation Services, a Division of Waste
Management, Inc. for providing Street Sweeping, Hand Sweeping,
Parking Lot Sweeping and Litter Can Collection and Removal Services
Citywide for the City of Miami Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th day of October , 1988.
