A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE
OF 179 ART GIFTS VALUED AT $138,000 AS DONATED TO
THE BASS MUSEUM OF ART, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum of Art collects works of art as
one bf its purposes and encourages unrestricted donations of
works of art; and
WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Bass Museum of Art have unanimously
approved acceptance of the 179 art gifts , as recommended by the
Director, at the meeting of August 30 , 1988 ; and
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum of Art has documentation for the
donation of 179 art gifts from donors and documentation for a
current appraisal value of $138 , 000 ; and
WHEREAS, the Bass Museum of Art has custody of these art
works ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED' BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
accept these art gifts to the Bass Museum of Art; and
BE IT ALSO DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Bass Museum of Art may proceed
with formally accessioning these art gifts into the collection
of the Bass Museum of Art with all appropriate museum procedures .

ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
resolution authorizing acceptance of the gifts donated to the
. Bass Museum of Art.
