SUBJECT: Motion by the LGBTQ Advisory Committee
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to inform the Mayor and the Commission of a
motion made by the LGBTQ Advisory Committee at their meeting on July 9, 2019.
MOTION: The Committee recommends for the City Commission make a statement that the City
aggressively promotes zero tolerances for hate crimes, discrimination, and violence towards any
groups or individuals. The Committee supports the full and fair prosecution of any hate crime
committed within the City. The Committee respectfully requests the City Commission also asked
Police and other City Departments to sign on.
