A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
MODIFICATION NO. 1 TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE STATE
OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY SAFETY AND
MOTOR VEHICLES FOR THE USE OF THE ENTIRE
BUILDING LOCATED AT 8720 COLLINS AVENUE,
EXTENDING THE TERM ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS
FOR ELEVEN MONTHS, ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1989
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Commission Resolution No. 87-19005,
the City of Miami Beach entered into a Lease Agreement with the
State of Florida, Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
for the use of the entire city owned building located at 8720
Collins Avenue. , Miami Beach, Florida for the purpose of operating
a drivers license examination station; and
WHEREAS, said Lease Agreement (No. 760: 0241) provided for a
one year term commencing February 1, 1988 and terminating January
31, 1989 ; and
WHEREAS, the Lessee has requested a modification to the Lease
Agreement so as to extend the term of the lease on a month to month
basis, not to exceed eleven (11) months, with all other terms and
conditions remaining in effect; and
WHEREAS, the Lessee has proposed a Modification No. 1 to the
Lease Agreement and the City Manager has recommended its approval
and the City Attorney has approved it as to form.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA :
1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to
execute Modification No. 1 to the Lease Agreement with
the State of Florida, Department of Highway Safety and
Motor Vehicles for the use of the entire building located
at 8720 Collins Avenue for the purpose of operating a
drivers license examination station.
