RESOLUTION 89-19494 RESOLUTION NO. 89-19494 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING FEBRUARY 15, 1989, AS THE DATE OF THE FINAL PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HELIPORT ON THE ROOF OF THE NORTHWEST PORTION OF THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION CENTER AND FURTHER, DIRECTING THAT PROPER NOTICE BE PLACED IN LOCAL NEWSPAPERS AND FURTHER, THAT SAID NOTICE BE MAILED TO THOSE CITIZENS AS REQUIRED. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Dade County have deemed it desirable to have as part of the Stephen Muss Convention Center, a heliport facility; and, WHEREAS, a preliminary hearing was held on November 16, 1988, which approved proceeding on a conceptual basis; and, WHEREAS, since that time consultants employed by the Dade County Aviation Department have been working to detail all environmental concerns; and, WHEREAS, it is felt by both the City of Miami Beach and Dade County that a heliport is a desirable objective in conjunction with the Stephen Muss Convention Center. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that February 15, 1989, is established as the date for the final public hearing regarding the heliport in conjunction with the Stephen Muss Convention Center.
