A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE 5th AMENDMENT TO THE FY
1988/89 POLICE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET BY AN AMOUNT OF
$38,500.00 TO BE FUNDED BY THE PROCEEDS OF CONFISCATED FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 932.704(3) (a) define the
purposes and procedure to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditure
of Police Confiscated Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that such needs exist and is in compliance with Section
932.704 (3) (a); and
WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Fund.
NOW, THERFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMiVIISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIA[VII BEACH,FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission hereby amends the
FY 1988/89 Police Confiscation Fund Budget for the City of Miami Beach, a true
and correct listing of which is included therein be and the same are hereby
appropriated as follows(Exhibit 1):

AFFIDAVIT
I, Ken Glassman, Chief of Police, City of Miami Beach, do hereby certify that the
aforementioned proposed request for expenditures from the City of Miami Beach
Police Confiscation Trust Fund, for the 1988/89 fiscal year to provide funds for
the purchase of a Laser Jet Printer to be used by the Confiscations Unit, two
mobile telephones and audio/surveillance equipment to be used in narcotics
investigations, and technical electronic equipment to furnish the video studio
facility. This complies with the provisions of Section 932.704(3)(a), Florida
Statues.

SUBJECT: POLICE C•1 IS ATION TRUST ACCOUNT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988/89
The Administration requests an amendment to Resolution 88-19363 for the operating
budget of the Police Confiscation Trust Account to appropriate an additional $38,500.00
to be used for the purchase of a Laser Jet Printer to be used by the Confiscations Unit,
two mobile telephones and audio/surveillance equipment to be used in narcotics
investigations, and technical electronic equipment to furnish the video studio facility.
The additional appropriation will increase the Police Confiscation Budget to $657,526.00
for the fiscal year 1988/89,
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the operating budget for
the Police Confiscation Trust Account and appropriate funding.
