A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
ABANDONMENT AND VACATION OF A PORTION OF 80TH
STREET, LYING IN CORRECTED PLAT OF ALTOS DEL
MAR NO. 1, PLAT BOOK 31, PAGE 40, OF THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA; A
PORTION OF 83RD AND 84TH STREETS, LYING IN
CORRECTED PLAT OF ALTOS DEL MAR NO. 1, PLAT
BOOK 31, PAGE 40, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND ALTOS DEL MAR
SUBDIVISION NO. 2 , PLAT BOOK 4 , PAGE 162 , OF
THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AND A PORTION OF 86TH STREET LYING IN ALTOS
DEL MAR SUBDIVISION NO. 2 , PLAT BOOK 4 , PAGE
162 , OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND
DELIVERY OF A QUIT CLAIM DEED CONVEYING THE
VACATED PROPERTY TO THE ADJOINING LAND OWNER
AND PROVIDING FOR THE RESERVATION OF FULL
UTILITY EASEMENTS THEREIN.
WHEREAS, the Corrected Plat of Altos Del Mar No. 1 and Altos
Del Mar Subdivision No. 2 were approved and recorded respectively
in Plat Book 31, Page 40 and Plat Book 4 , Page 162 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, lying in said plats are public streets known as
80th, 83rd, 84th and 86th Street, running east and west, bounded
on +b y east by Collins Avenue a n d on v h o west by Harding Avente•
and
WHEREAS, on or about October 14 , 1987 , the City and the
State of Florida entered into a Memorandum of Agreement whereby
the City would donate the property known as North Shore Open
Space Park and six (6) blocks of land on the west side of Collins
Avenue to the State of Florida for public recreation purposes in
perpetuity and as part of said agreement the City agreed to
vacate certain streets to facilitate the assembly of parking
facilities for North Shore Open Space Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
wishes to abandon, vacate, surrender, disclaim any and all right
title and interest in the following described portions of 80th,
83rd, 84th and 86th Streets:
THAT PORTION OF 80TH STREET BOUNDED ON THE WESTERLY
SIDE BY A LINE 10. 00 FEET EASTERLY OF THE CENTER LINE
OF A CERTAIN 20. 00 FOOT ALLEY ADJACENT AND PARALLEL TO
THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID BLOCKS 10 AND 20; BOUNDED ON
THE EASTERLY BY A LINE 30. 00 FEET WESTERLY OF THE
CENTER LINE OF COLLINS AVENUE.
THAT PORTION OF STREETS 83RD AND 84TH BOUNDED ON THE
WEST BY A LINE 10. 00 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF A
20. 00 FEET ALLEY ADJACENT AND PARALLEL TO THE WESTERLY
LINE OF SAID BLOCKS 17, 14 AND 15 AND BOUNDED ON THE

EASTERLY BY A LINE 30. 00 FEET WESTERLY OF THE CENTER
LINE OF COLLINS AVENUE.
THAT PORTION OF 86TH STREET BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY A
LINE 10. 00 FEET EASTERLY OF THE CENTER LINE OF A 20. 00
FEET ALLEY ADJACENT TO THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID BLOCK
13 AND ON THE EAST BOUNDED BY A LINE 30. 00 FEET WEST OF
THE CENTER LINE OF COLLINS AVENUE. SAID LANDS LOCATED,
LYING AND BEING IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the abandonment and vacation is deemed to benefit
the general public and the subject streets are no longer required
for the public use and convenience; and
WHEREAS, the Public Services Department of the City of Miami
Beach recommends the City retain full utility easements for the
installation, maintenance and repair of all utilities, public or
private, the City' s sanitary sewer, present or future storm
sewers and such other utilities public or private, as may be
appropriate or necessary in the future.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
does hereby surrender, abandon, vacate and disclaim all of its
right, title and interest in and to that portion of 80th Street
bounded on the westerly side by a line 10. 00 feet easterly of the
center line of a certain 20. 00 foot alley adjacent and parallel
to the westerly line of said Blocks 10 and 20; bounded on the
easterly by a line 30. 00 feet westerly of the center line of
Collins Avenue; that portion of Streets 83rd and 84th bounded on
the west by a line 10. 00 feet east of the center line of a 20. 00
feet alley adjacent and parallel to the westerly line of said
Blocks 17, 14 and 15 and bounded on the easterly by a line 30. 00
feet westerly of the center line of Collins Avenue; that portion
of 86th Street bounded on the west by a line 10. 00 feet easterly
of the center line of a 20. 00 feet alley adjacent to the westerly
line of said Block 13 and on the east bounded by a line 30. 00
feet west of the center line of Collins Avenue; said lands
located, lying and being in the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
except insofar as the City reserves in said properties full
utility easements for the installation, maintenance and repair of
all utilities, public or private, the City' s sanitary sewer,
present or future storm sewers and such other utilities public or

private as may be appropriate or necessary in the future,and the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Quit
Claim Deed to said property to the adjoining property owners.
