A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH , FLORIDA , ADOPTING MIAMI BEACH MARINE AUTHORITY ' S
RECOMMENDATION TO APPROVE AN EXTENSION INTO THE WATERWAY
AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1650 DAYTONIA ROAD .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA :
WHEREAS , the Marine Authority of the City of Miami Beach ,
Florida with a majority vote , approved the request to allow an extension
into the waterway a total distance of 74 feet , to construct a dock and mooring
piles at the property located at 1650 Daytonia Road , Miami Beach ,
Florida and ,
WHEREAS , the Marine Authority of the City of Miami Beach
believes that allowing the extension into the waterway would not
be detrimental to the surrounding areas ; and
WHEREAS , the Marine Authority of the City of Miami Beach
feels wholeheartedly this extension into the waterway should also
be approved by the City Commission .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA THAT the City Commission adopt the
Miami Beach Marine Authority ' s recommendation and grant an extension
into the waterway of 74 feet at the property located at 1650 Daytonia
Road , Miami Beach , Florida .
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th day of April , 1989 .

WHEREAS , the Marine Authority of the
City of Miami Beach approved the extension into the
waterway of a dock and mooring piles for the total
extension of 74 ft . , ( 58 ft . dock and 16 mooring piles )
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
MARINE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH THAT the
Marine Authority go on record of the approval of the
aforementioned .

April , 1989 .

SUBJECT: AN ACTION BY THE MARINE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH APPROVING AN EXTENSION INTO THE
WATERWAY AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1650 DAYTONIA
ROAD , MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA
BACKGROUND
On April- 13 , 1989 at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Marine Authority a majority
vote of approval was granted for an extension
into the waterway to exceed the maximum allowable
distance by 34 ft . , in order to construct a
dock and mooring piles ( total extension 74 ft . )
OBSERVATION
The Mari neAuthori ty feels that this extension
into the waterway would not be detrimental to
the surrounding area .
RECOMMENDATION
The Marine Authority recommends that the City
Commission adopt a resolution approving an
extension into the waterway at the property
located at 1650 Daytonia Road .
