A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
LIONS CLUBS FOR THE USE OF HALLS A & B AND
AUXILIARY ROOMS IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION
CENTER JUNE 15-24 , 1989.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
HALLS A & B AND AUXILIARY ROOMS
IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION CENTER
on
JUNE 15-24, 1989
for the event known as
THE LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Stephen Muss Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the
Stephen Muss Convention Center Director be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City.

EVENT: THE LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
DATES: JUNE 15-24, 1989
AMOUNT: $4,500.00 per hall per show day, or $54,000.00 for six
show days. This rental charge, as set forth in this
contract, shall be paid to the City of Miami Beach by
the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau in accordance
with the letter of agreement attached hereto and the Lessee
shall have no obligation to pay for the rental .
RATE: COMMISSION APPROVED
ADDITIONAL NONE
CHARGES :
ADMINISTRATION Approve contract with The International Association of
RECOMMENDATION : Lions Clubs for payment of $4 ,500.00 per hall per show
day, or $54,000.00 for six show days. This rental charge,
as set forth 'n this contract, shall be paid to the City
of Miami Beach by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors
Bureau in accordance with the letter of agreement attached
hereto and the Lessee shall have no obligation to pay for
the rental .
