A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH THE PROMOTIONS, INC. FOR THE USE
OF HALL A IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION CENTER
JANUARY 11-14, 1990.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
PROMOTIONS, INC.
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
HALL A IN THE STEPHEN MUSS CONVENTION CENTER
on
JANUARY 11-14, 1990
for the event known as
INTERNATIONAL WORLD OF WHEELS
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Stephen Muss Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY CF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the
Stephen Muss Convention Center Director be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City.

AMOUNT: The lessee hereby covenants and agrees to pay the fo 1 lowing
minimum rentals, or such higher rentals as shall become
effective on or before 120 days prior to the date lessee takes
occupancy under this lease; provided, however, that lessee' s
obligation w i th respect to such higher rentals shall be
1 imi ted to an increase of 12% over the following minimum
rentals:
$13,500.00 minimum guarantee pl us 10% of gross recei pts
from sale of admission tickets over $50,000.00 after taxes ,
plus Florida State Rental Tax which is currently 6%.
RATE: COMMISSION APPROVED
ADDITIONAL Box Office Charges - i f used - $40 per day which includes
CHARGES: • one person for supervisory purposes only.
ADMINISTRATION Approve contract with Promotions, Inc. for payment of
RECOMMENDATION : $13,500.00 minimum guarantee plus 10% of gross receipts
from sale of admission tickets over $50,000. 00 after
taxes , plus Florida State Rental Tax which is currently
6%..
