SUBJECT: Progress Report -North Beach N tional Register Conservation District Overlay
On December 27, 2018 a six month progress report regarding the North Beach National Register
Conservation District Overlay was transmitted via LTC 658-2018. The overlay district was created
by the adoption of ordinance 2018-4187 on April11, 2018. As part of the approval of this ordinance,
the City Commission requested that an ongoing biannual report be provided via LTC.
Since the adoption of the conservation district overlay, the following projects have been submitted
and approved by the Historic Preservation Board:
• December 11, 2018: HPB18-0195, 7925-7935 Crespi Boulevard. A Certificate of
Appropriateness for the total demolition of two existing buildings and the construction of a
new multifamily building .
• June 10, 2019 : HPB19-0297, 8204 Harding Avenue. A Certificate of Appropriateness for
the construction of a new multifamily residential building on a vacant lot, one or more
waivers and a variance from the required front setback.
Additionally, the following sale and lease data has been put together by City Economic
Development staff, and pertains to properties within the overlay area that have been on the market
since April 11, 2018:
