A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AN ACCEPTANCE
OF SOVEREIGNTY SUBMERGED LAND EASEMENT NO.
00008 (3820-13) GRANTED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND
OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach is
aware of the need for a subaqueous public water main from Normandy
Shores to Biscayne Point to service the residents of that area; and
WHEREAS, permit number 13190806 was issued to the City of
Miami Beach on December 24 , 1987 by the Florida Department of
Environmental Regulation for the construction of said subaqueous
public water main ; and
WHEREAS, Sovereignty Submerged Land Easement No. 00008 (3820-
13) was granted to the City of Miami Beach on August 23 , 1988 by
the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the
State of Florida for fifty (50) years for the above-described
subaqueous public water main; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the acceptance of the
Sovereignty Submerged Land Easement No. 00008 (3820-13) and the City
Attorney has approved it as to form,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute, on behalf of the City, an acceptance of Sovereignty
Submerged Land Easement No. 00008 (3820-13) which was granted by the
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of
Florida on August 23 , 1988 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of June , 1989 .

SUBJECT: CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY, AN ACCEPTANCE OF SOVEREIGHNTY SUBMERGED
LAND EASEMENT NO. 00008 (3820-13).
On November 5, 1986 the City Commission authorized by Commission
Memorandum No. 725-86, the appropriation of funds to upgrade the
subaqueous public water main from Normandy Shores to Biscayne Point
(Vardon Street to Henedon Avenue). This improvement will allow for the
adequate supply of water to the north end of the City from the 79th Street
Causeway and improve the water flow for fire hydrants on Biscayne Point.
The Florida Department of Environmental Regulation issued permit number
13190806 to the City of Miami Beach on December 24, 1987 for the
construction of said subaqueous public water main.
The Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State
of Florida granted the City of Miami Beach a Sovereignty Submerged Land
Easement No. 00008 (3820-13) on August 23, 1988.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The City Commission authorize the Mayor to execute on behalf of the
City, an acceptance of Sovereighnty Submerged Land Easement No. 00008
(3820-13) granted by the Board of Trustees of the internal Improvement
Trust Fund of the State of Florida on August 23, 1988.
