A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF
FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE NATIONAL
ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
WHEREAS, The Bass Museum of Art has been awarded a grant of
$4, 600 from The National Endowment for the Arts for conservation
survey of works on paper and textiles; and
WHEREAS, The Bass Museum of Art has been awarded a grant of
$5, 000 from the National Endowment for the Arts for purchase of
work (s) by living American architect (s) and
WHEREAS, required matching funds will come from other grants
and not the City General Funds, and
WHEREAS all expenditures must receive prior authorization
from the Office of Management and Budget to ensure compliance with
a proposed budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
authorize the appropriation of $4, 600 to be used for conservation
and $5, 000 to be used for purchase of art works .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of July , 1989 .

Endowment for the Arts :

$5 , 000 for purchase of drawing (s) by living American architect (s)
Matching funds come from the Florida Arts Council Major Institutions
Grant which is awarded annually
ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION: 0 •
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
resolution authorizing appropriation of funds received from the
National Endowment for the Arts .
