A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER THE VACATION AND DISCONTINUANCE OF
THAT PORTION OF FIFTY-NINTH (59TH) STREET FROM
NORTH BAY ROAD WEST TO THE TWENTY-FIVE (25') FOOT
STREET END AS SHOWN IN LA GORCE GOLF SUBDIVISION,
AND AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 14, PAGE 43, OF THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to vacate and discontinue the following property:
FIFTY NINTH (59TH) STREET WEST FROM NORTH BAY
ROAD WEST TO THE TWENTY-FIVE (25') FOOT STREET END,
AS SHOWN IN LA GORCE GOLF SUBDIVISION, AS
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 14, PAGE 43, OF THE PUBLIC
RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration of
the aforementioned proposed request is hereby called to be held before the City
Commission in its chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, at 1700 Convention Center
Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at 2:30 P.M. on the 4th day of
October , 1989, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish
appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interest parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of July , 1989.

SUBJECT: THE CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE CITY'S
VACATION AND DISCONTINUANCE OF FIFTY-NINTH (59TH) STREET
WEST FROM NORTH BAY ROAD TO THE TWENTY-FIVE (25') FOOT
STREET END, LOCATED IN LA GORCE GOLF SUBDIVISION, AS
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 14, PAGE 43, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
There is a request by Mr. John A. Hinson, current owner of Lots A & B, Block 1,
Subdivision of Lot 24, La Gorce Golf Subdivision that the Mayor and City Commission
consider the City's abandonment of 59th Street as described above in of La Gorce Golf
Subdivison, as recorded in Plat Book 14, Page 43, of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
The Public Works Department has reveiwed the request and has no objection to the
abandonment providing proper easements are executed as needed to protect existing
utilities.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION: •
The City Administration recommends that the Mayor and the City Commission adopt
the attached resolution calling for a Public Hearing to consider the abandonment and
vacation of the above described ri• ght-of-way.
