A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH APPROVING A BEACHFRONT MANAGEMENT PLAN
FOR SUBMISSION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES PURSUANT TO MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT NO. 3595
FOR MULTIPLE USE MANAGEMENT OF THE PUBLIC BEACHFRONT
IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Commission Resolution No. 82-16909
approved February 3 , 1982 , the City entered into a Management
Agreement with the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement
Trust Fund of the State of Florida on behalf of the State of
Florida, Department of Natural Resources for the management of the
use of the public beachfront in the City of Miami Beach from the
Mean High Water Line to the Erosion Control Line; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Management Agreement, the City is
required to submit a Beachfront Management Plan containing
particular elements in accordance with statutory requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has prepared a Beachfront
Management Plan in accordance with the requirements of the
Management Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Beachfront Management Plan was reviewed
by the Land Use Committee at its meeting on October 12 , 1989 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the proposed Beachfront Management
Plan is approved for submission to the Florida Department of
Natural Resources on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
