A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH BALLET ETUDES OF SOUTH FLORIDA FOR
THE USE OF THE JACKIE GLEASON THEATER OF THE
PERFORMING ARTS DECEMBER 16 & 17, 1989 .
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
BALLET ETUDES OF SOUTH FLORIDA
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
JACKIE GLEASON THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS
on
DECEMBER 16 & 17 , 1989
for the event known as
BALLET GALA - THE NUTCRACKER
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the Miami
Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.

AMOUNT: $14,000. 00 based on $2,000.00 per performance, plus Florida
State Rental Tax, which is currently 6%.
RATE: COMMISSION APPROVED
ADDITIONAL $1 .00 for each ticket sold payable 5 days after last performance.
CHARGES :
ADMINISTRATION Approve contract with Bal let Etudes of South Florida for
RECOMMENDATION : payment of $14,000.00 based on $2,000.00 per performance,
plus Florida State Rental Tax, which is currently 6%.

by the City and forward to the City Manager for presentation
to the City Commission. Also, please certify to the City
Manager that all documents included herein are in accordance
with all City regulations.
I concur with the terms of this lease and recommend its
approval.
