A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH THE VARIETY CLUB OF FLORIDA,
INC. FOR THE USE OF THE JACKIE GLEASON THEATER
OF THE PERFORMING ARTS JANUARY 27, 1990,
FEBRUARY 4 AND 5, 1990, FEBRUARY 19 , 24 AND 95,
1990, MARCH 31, 1990 AND APRIL 1, 1990
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
THE VARIETY CLUB OF FLORIDA, INC.
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
JACKIE GLEASON THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS
on
JANUARY 27, 1990
for the event known as
LES BALLETS TRACKADERO
on
FEBRUARY 4 & 5, 1990
for the event known as
SHALOM ' 90
on
FEBRUARY 19 , 1990
for the event known as
SHALOM ' 90
on
FEBRUARY 24 & 25, 1990
for the event known as
BAO DAO
on
MARCH 31, AND APRIL 1, 1990
for the event known as
ISRAELI BALLET
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is
familiar with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement
and deems it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize
the execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the Miami
Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.
