A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE 1ST AMENDMENT TO THE
FY 1989/90 POLICE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET BY AN AMOUNT
OF $6, 520 . 00 TO BE FUNDED BY THE PROCEEDS OF CONFISCATED
FUNDS .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) define
the purposes and procedure to be utilized for the appropriation and
expenditure of Police Confiscation Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that such needs exist and is in compliance with
Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) ; and
WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police
Confiscation Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission
hereby amends the FY 1989/90 Police Confiscation Fund Budget for
the City of Miami Beach, a true and correct listing of which is
included therein be and the same are hereby appropriated as follows
(Exhibit 1) :

I, Ken Glassman, Chief of Police, City of Miami Beach, do hereby
certify that the aforementioned proposed request for expenditures
from the City of Miami Beach Police Confiscation Trust Fund, for
the 1989/90 fiscal year to provide funds to purchase a Hard Drive
for Hewlett Packard 3000, Model 70, complies with the provisions
of Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) , Florida Statutes.

SUBJECT: POLICE CONFISCATION TRUST ACCOUNT FOR FY 1989/90
The Administration requests an amendment to Resolution 89-19708 for
the operating budget of the Police Confiscation Trust Account to
appropriate an additional $6, 520. 00 to be used to purchase a Hard
Disk Drive for the Hewlett Packard 3000, Model 70. Monies for this
appropriation will be received from the sale of the Hewlett Packard
3000, Model 37, which was originally purchased with forfeiture
(confiscated) funds. The additional appropriation will increase the
Police Confiscation Budget to $534 , 663 . 00 for the fiscal year
1989/90.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the
operating budget for the Police Confiscation Trust Account and
appropriate funding.
