RESOLUTION 90-19862 RESOLUTION NO. 90-19862
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH APPOINTING CITY COMMISSIONER ABE
RESNICK AS LIAISON TO THE HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement between the City of Miami
Beach and the Holocaust Memorial Committee, Inc. , entered into on
July 31, 1987, a Holocaust Memorial Board of Trustees was created;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to appoint a City
Commissioner to the Holocaust Memorial Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, City Commissioner Abe Resnick has extensive knowledge
of the purpose of the Holocaust Memorial and has devoted long hours
to its successful completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that City Commissioner Abe Resnick is hereby
appointed as the City Commission's liaison to the Holocaust
Memorial Board of Trustees, and that in this capacity of Liaison,
Commissioner Resnick has the full authority for initiating and
developing community, educational and tourist-based projects
related to the Memorial for purposes of international enhancement
and understanding.
