A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THIRD LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH NATIONAL MARINE MANUFACTURERS
ASSOCIATION, INC. FOR THE USE OF HALLS A, B, C AND
D AND THE WEST WRAPAROUND IN THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER FOR 1990 ( IF AVAILABLE) , 1991,
1992 AND 1993 , AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER CHANGES.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach entered into a lease with Miami
International Boat Show, Inc. on October 21 , 1980, for Halls A and
B of the Miami Beach Convention Center which lease was assigned to
National Marine Manufactures Associates, Inc. on September 7 , 1983 ;
and
WHEREAS, the lease was amended by letter amendments dated March
25 , 1983 and July 26, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the lease to include Halls
C and D and the West Wraparound for 1990 ( if available) , and 1991,
1992 and 1993 and to provide for other changes to the lease; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate lease amendment has been prepared by the
Miami Beach Convention Center Director and approved as to form by
the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease amendment and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease amendment .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described
bove-described lease amendment on behalf of the City, and that the Miami
Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.

AMENDMENT
PURPOSE: ADD HALLS C AND D AND WEST WRAPAROUND, IF AVAILABLE,
FOR 1990.
ADD HALLS C AND D AND WEST WRAPAROUND FOR 1991, 1992
AND 1993 .
IF ANY OF THE SUMMER OR FALL BOAT SHOWS CANCEL
DURING THE TERM OF THIS CONTRACT, MIAMI
INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT OF
FIRST REFUSAL TO PRESENT A BOAT SHOW DURING SUCH
CANCELLED SUMMER AND/OR FALL BOAT SHOW DATES.
CITY AGREES THAT IT WILL NOT LEASE OTHER CITY-OWNED
FACILITIES TO THIRD PARTIES FOR A BOAT SHOW DURING
THE PERIOD THAT THE LESSEE IS UTILIZING THE
CONVENTION CENTER FOR ITS BOAT SHOW AND FOR THIRTY
DAYS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE AND THIRTY DAYS IMMEDIATELY
FOLLOWING THE MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW.
RATE: PREVAILING RATE.
