A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE,
COUNTY & MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES FOR THE USE OF HALLS
C & D IN THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER JUNE
18-30, 1990 .
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY & MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit :
HALLS C & D IN THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
on
JUNE 18-30, 1990
for the event known as
A.F.S.C.M.E. CONVENTION
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the Miami
Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.

guarantee per hall, based on Four Thousand and no/100

Forty Thousand and no/100 ($40, 000. 00) Dollars, plus
Florida State Rental Tax, which is currently 6% .
ADMINISTRATION Approve contract with American Federation of State,
RECOMMENDATION: County & Municipal Employees for Twenty Thousand and
no/100 ($20, 000 . 00) Dollars minimum guarantee per hall,
based on Four Thousand and no/100 ($4 , 000. 00) Dollars
per hall, for a total of Forty Thousand and no/100
($40, 000. 00) Dollars, plus Florida State Rental Tax,
