A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH LUGGAGE & LEATHER GOODS
MANUFACTURERS OF AMERICA, INC. FOR THE USE OF
HALLS A & B IN THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
MARCH 5-14 , 1990.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
LUGGAGE & LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURERS OF AMERICA, INC.
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
HALLS A & F► IN THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
on
MARCH 5-14 , 1990
for the event known as
NATIONAL CONVENTION
AND WHEREAS, an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the Cite Commission has been advised of and is familiar
with the terms and pFovisions of the said lease agreement and deems
it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize the
execution of the said lease agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that the Miami
Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken
therein by the City.

FLORIDA STATE RENTAL TAX, WHICH IS CURRENTLY 6%.

IN THE EVENT A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY IS RECEIVED FOR
HALLS C & D BEFORE LESSEE 'S MOVE IN DATE, THEN THE
LESSEE SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO RENT SAID HALLS AND
SHALL PAY RENTAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
SIXTY (60) CENTS PER SQUARE FOOT PER HALL OF NET
EXHIBIT SPACE USED WITH A MINIMUM GUARANTEE OF
TWENTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 ($20, 000. 00) DOLLARS
PER HALL, PLUS FLORIDA STATE RENTAL TAX WHICH IS
CURRENTLY 60. TOTAL MINIMUM GUARANTEE OF FORTY
THOUSAND AND NO/100 ($40 , 000. 00) DOLLARS, PLUS
FLORIDA STATE RENTAL TAX, PAYABLE BEFORE MOVE IN,
