RESOLUTION 90-19932 RESOLUTION NO. 90-19932 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA PROVIDING THAT NO CITY FUNDS SHALL BE EXPENDED TOWARDS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LIGHT RAIL PROJECT IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH UNLESS IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID PROJECT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE MIAMI BEACH ELECTORATE. WHEREAS, The issue of the light rail system within the City of Miami Beach has been previously discussed as a project City implementation; and WHEREAS, the Miami Beach City Commission wishes to confirm its position against the expenditure of any City funds towards implementation of the light rail system within the City of Miami Beach, unless said Project is approved by a majority vote of the Miami Beach electorate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that no City funds shall be expended towards implementation of the Light Rail Project in the City of Miami Beach, unless implementation of said project has been approved by a majority vote of the Miami Beach electorate.
