A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY, A DEDICATION DEED AND AN EASEMENT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
DRAINAGE STRUCTURE AND VEHICULAR TURNING
RADIUS AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF ALTON
ROAD AND CHASE AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH:
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation will replace
the Alton Road Bridge between Chase Avenue and 34 Street in the Fall of 1991;
and
WHEREAS, a drainage utility structure will have to be constructed to
grade and the new road surface; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transportation will
construct a new vehicular turning radius at the southeast corner of Alton Road
and Chase Avenue in conjunction with the bridge construction intersection work;
and
WHEREAS, the attached dedication deed and easement agreement have
been recommended by the City Manager and approved as to form by the City
Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CI1Y OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, the attached
dedication deed and easement agreement between the City of Miami Beach and
the State of Florida Department of Transportation for construction of a drainage
structure and vehicular turning radius at Alton Road and Chase Avenue.

SUBJECT: DEDICATION D D AND EASEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH FOR GRANTING AN EASEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
UTILITY STRUCTURE AND ROAD SURFACES AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF ALTON ROAD AND CHASE AVENUE
The Florida Department of Transportation will be replacing the Alton Road Bridge at Chase
Avenue in the near future and is requesting that the City of Miami Beach grant a dedication
and an easement covering the proposed drainage structure and corner vehicular turning
radius at the southeast corner of Alton Road and Chase Avenue.
A dedication deed easement agreement for construction of utility structures on City
property must be entered into between the Florida Department of Transportation and the
City of Miami Beach.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends that the Commission approve execution of the dedication
deed and the easement agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation and
the City of Miami Beach for the construction of drainage utilities and vehicle turning radius
in conjunction with the bridge project.

Shore Golf Course, which is the point of intersection of the Southerly
Right cf Way line of Chase Avenue with the Southeasterly Right of Way line
