A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH APPROPRIATING $220,550.00 OF RECYCLING
GRANT FUNDS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A
RECYCLING AND RECYCLING EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR
THE CITY OF MYAMI BEACH
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has entered into a Interlocal
Agreement with Dade County to provide recycling services to Miami Beach through
the County program; and
WHEREAS, These services and the accompanying educational program are
eligible for grant funding.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that $220,550 be appropriated for purposes of
implementing a recycling and educational program for Fiscal Year 1989-90.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 25th day of July 1990.

SUBJECT: APPROPRIATION OF $220,550.00 OF RECYCLING GRANT FUNDS FOR
A RECYCLING AND EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR MIAMI BEACH
This is to appropriate $220,550.00 of Recycling Grant Funds for Fiscal
Year 1989-90 for use in a start-up and implementation of a Recycling
Program for the City of Miami Beach.
In accordance with the Interlocal Agreement between Metro Dade County
and the City of Miami Beach, the funds will be used for start-up costs,
monthly charges to homeowners and the development of single family, as
well as multi-family educational programs.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends the appropriation of $220,550.00 for
initiating and implementing a Recycling and Education Program for the
City of Miami Beach.
