A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE
STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTING A STREETSCAPE PROJECT SOUTH OF FIFTH
STREET IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1989 the City of Miami Beach applied for
a State of Florida grant for an Enterprise Zone Safe Neighborhood
Capital Improvement Project, for street improvements south of Fifth
Street in the amount of $2 ,900, 000; and
WHEREAS, on August 9, 1990, the City was notified that the
State of Florida Legislature had appropriated $500, 000 for the
above project; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to express its
appreciation of the grant from the State of Florida, and wishes to
accept the $500, 000 grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that:
1) The City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
hereby accepts the $500, 000 grant appropriated
by the Florida Legislature during the 1990
Legislative Session for streetscape improve-
ments south of Fifth Street on Miami Beach.
2) The appropriation of $500, 000 is hereby
authorized as a special work order for
reimbursement from Bond No. 351.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September 1990.

Neighborhood 'Capital Improvement project funded by the legisla-
ture

ture and to facilitate preparation of the contact, I have
enclosed a contract preparation package for you. Enclosed are
blank forms for your Project Timetable, Scope of Work, Budget,
and Budget Modification to prepare in reference to your special
Legislative Appropriation. I have also enclosed completed sam-
ples of these forms for your reference. You will need to com-
plete the Project Timetable, Scope of Work and Budget and return
these forms to the Department of Community Affairs in order for a
contract to be prepared. The Budget Modification form would be
used after the contract has been executed for any budget changes
which may be necessary.
