A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH APPROVING A CHANGE IN THE MAXIMUM
GREENS FEES AND GOLF CART RENTAL FEES TO BE
CHARGED UNDER THE MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT WITH
AMERICAN GOLF CORPORATION, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1,
1990
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 86-18464 , the City of
Miami Beach (hereinafter referred to as "City") entered into a
Management Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "Agreement") with
American Golf Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Operator")
commencing October 1, 1986 and ending September 30, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for the operational management
of City-owned golf courses known as Bayshore Golf Course, Normandy
Shores Golf Course and Par 3 Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that greens fees and golf cart
rental fees are subject to the prior approval of the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 88-19152 , adopted February
3 , 1988 , the City Commission approved a revised schedule of maximum
greens fees and golf cart rental fees; and
WHEREAS, the Operator has submitted a request for an increase
in the maximum amount of greens fees and golf cart rental fees
which may be charged; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has reviewed the Operator' s
request for an increase in fees; and
WHEREAS, the City' s Golf Advisory Board reviewed the
Operator' s request for an increase in the greens fees and golf cart
rental fees at its meeting August 24, 1990 and recommended that the
City Commission approve the proposed fees; and
WHEREAS, the proposed fees are described on the attached
Revised Exhibit "H" to the Agreement, Page 2 of 2 , Effective
October 1, 1990.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute this Resolution No. 90-20082
signifying its adoption and approval of the fees described on the
attached Revised Exhibit "H" , Page 2 of 2 , Effective October 1,
1990.

AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN GOLF CORPORATION, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER
1, 1990
HISTORY:
Pursuant to City Commission Resolution No. 86-18464 , the City entered
into a Management Agreement with American Golf Corporation for
operational management of Bayshore, Normandy Shores and Par Three Golf
Courses.
The Management Agreement established a schedule of maximum fees and
charges which remained in effect from June 1986 until February 1988 .
Pursuant to Resolution No. 88-19152, adopted February 3 , 1988, the City
Commission approved a revised schedule of maximum greens fees and golf
cart rental fees.
BACKGROUND:
American Golf recently completed a survey of greens fees and golf cart
rental fees among several courses in South Florida, the results of
which is included in the attached correspondence from Mr. Geary L.
Leathers, Vice President for Operations, dated June 25, 1990.
Accompanying the survey and a review of implementation progress under
the agreement is a request for an increase in the greens fees and golf
cart rental fees. This request includes a provision that carts will
be mandatory at both regular golf courses during the Winter season,
prior to 3 : 00 p.m. daily. This provision is intended to permit smooth,
more rapid play during the period when the courses are busiest with
tourist play.
The request also includes the establishment of a new category of greens
fees for "Senior Residents" . This category will provide a reduced
greens fees for residents of Miami Beach, who are 62 years of age and
older. As with other categories, American Golf representatives affirm
that the proposed greens fees for Senior Residents during the winter
season will include use of a golf cart.
Fees for annual permits are not changed by the proposed increase. The
only inpact to permit holders will be an increase in the golf cart
fees, which will be required in the winter season before 3 : 00 P.M.

The City's Golf Advisory Board received the proposed revision to
fees in late June and at its next meeting, on August 24, 1990,
approved them for recommendation to City Commission for approval.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The City Administration recommends the adoption of the attached
resolution approving the revised golf course greens fees and golf
cart rental fees, as described on Revised Exhibit "H" to the
Management Agreement, effective October 1, 1990.
