RESOLUTION 91-20243 RESOLUTION NO. 91-20243 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE 4TH AMENDMENT TO THE CONFISCATION FUND BUDGET, PROVIDING FOR THE SERVICES OF AN EVIDENCE AND PROPERTY ADMINISTRATOR ($28, 000. ) ; A PHYSICAL FITNESS COORDINATOR ($14 , 600. ) ; A PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER ($20, 800. ) ; SIG SAUER HANDGUNS AND LEATHER ($6, 300. ) ; COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND RELATED SOFTWARE FOR THE COURT LIAISON OFFICE ($13 , 000. ) ; TO ESTABLISH A CRIME ANALYSIS UNIT ($8, 000. ) ; TELEPHONE AND INSTALLATION AND RELATED MONTHLY SERVICE CHARGES, AND A FAX MACHINE FOR A TELEPHONE DEPOSITION ROOM ($3 , 000. ) FOR A TOTAL COST OF $93 , 700. 00 TO BE FUNDED BY THE PROCEEDS OF CONFISCATED FUNDS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: WHEREAS, Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) , Florida Statutes, addresses the purposes and procedures to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditures of the Police Confiscation Fund; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has determined that the needs for expenditures and appropriation exist and the expenditure or appropriation of forfeiture funds is in compliance with Section 932 . 704 (3) (a) ; and WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT the City Commission hereby amends the FY 1990/91 Police Confiscation Fund Budget for the City of Miami Beach by an amount of $93 , 700. 00 (as reflected in Exhibit 1) , said amendment to result in the amended budget as reflected hereinbelow. The additional appropriation will increase the Police Confiscation Budget to $503 , 750. 00 for the Fiscal Year 1990/91. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION The Administration recommends that the City Commission adopt the operating budget for the Police Confiscation Trust Account and appropriate funding.
