A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF $225,000
FROM BOND FUND NO. 351 AS A MATCHING CONTRIBUTION
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROWING FACILITY AT 65TH
STREET AND INDIAN CREEK DRIVE, MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1988, the City of Miami Beach
("City") entered into a Lease Agreement with the Miami Beach Jewish
Community Center, Inc. ("JCC") for a portion of thearkin lot

located at 65th Street and Indian Creek Drive, Miami Beach, Florida
to construct and operate a rowing facility.
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1989, the City and JCC entered into
a First Amendment to the above described Lease Agreement, which
enlarged the area of the leased premises to accommodate a larger
facility; and
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1990, the City approved in concept a
$225, 000 matching contribution for the construction of a rowing
facility at the leased premises; and
WHEREAS, the Commission of the City of Miami Beach wishes to
appropriate the sum of $225, 000 as a matching contribution toward
construction of a rowing facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
1) The amount of $225, 000 is hereby appropriated from
bond fund No. 351 as a matching contribution for the
construction of a rowing facility at 65th Street and
Indian Creek Drive.
2) The matching funds are to be placed in a special work
order for accounting purposes.
3) Funds will be released upon receipt by the City of
satisfactory evidence of equivalent matching funds being
deposited in a special escrow account under the control
of Miami Beach Jewish Community Center, Inc. for the
construction of the rowing facility.
