A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA RESCINDING THE LEASE AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY AND MICHAEL SCHNEIDER FOR
THE USE OF SPACE AT 1195 - 71st STREET FOR
TEMPORARY USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida on 5 June 1991 adopted Resolution No. 91-20303 which
authorized the Mayor to execute a lease agreement by and between
the City and Michael Schneider for the use of space for a police
mini-station located on 71st Street; and
WHEREAS, an alternate location for operating the mini-station
has now been identified, a location which is larger and more
accessible to the public; and
WHEREAS, because an alternate facility has been located, the
City Manager has recommended that the lease agreement between the
City and Michael Schneider adopted by Resolution No. 91-20303 be
hereby canceled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The Lease Agreement between the City of Miami Beach and
Michael Schneider for use of the space located at 1195 -
71st Street, Miami Beach, Florida for use by the Police
Department for the operation of a mini-station is hereby
canceled and declared null and void; and
2 . The City Commission acknowledges the cooperation of
Michael Schneider, for his offering the use of his
property at 1195 71st Street to the City for a mini-
station, and is setting aside the lease agreement between
the City and Michael Schneider solely for the reason that
a more suitable location became available.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 24th day of July , 1991.

RESCINDING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AND MICHAEL SCHNEIDER FOR USE OF PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 1195 71st STREET.
BACKGROUND:
The City Commission acknowledges the cooperation of Michael
Schneider for his offering the use of his property located at 1195
71st Street to the City for a mini-station. At this time, a more
suitable location has been secured, necessitating the cancellation
of the lease between the City and Michael Schneider.
ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION:
The City Administration recommends that the City Commission rescind
Resolution No. 91-20303 which authorized the execution of a lease
between the City and Michael Schneider for use of 1195 71st Street
by the Miami Beach Police Department, as an alternate location has
subsequently been leased for the purpose of operating a police
mini-station.
